Plateau Printmakers group is excited and honoured to be invited to showcase their work alongside Line and Form, an extensive collection of graphics, including artwork by more than 30 leading New Zealand artists, collected by local art dealer Peter Jarvis.

Plateau Printmakers’ artists, Marion Bright, Sally-Ann Davies, Maggie Dawson, Jacquie Goldsmith, Heather Macdonald, Rosemary Peek, Chris Potter and Mayumi Sherburn first exhibited at the museum gallery six years ago and since then have been developing their own styles.

Most of the group are members of Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand (PCANZ) and will be showcased in the PCANZ publication PROOF: celebrating 20 years of printmaking featuring the work of printmakers from all over NZ, plus subsequent exhibition, Celebration at Aratoi Wairapapa Museum and Art Gallery early 2023.

Individuals of the group have also attended workshops all over NZ, UK, Barcelona as well as an artist residency in Tuscany.

“Taupō Museum’s newest exhibition is bound to make an impression on its viewers.

Plateau Printmakers is a group of local creatives and friends who share a common interest in the wonderful art of printmaking. They enjoy sharing their skills and introducing people to the art of print making.

Some of their creations will be on display at the Taupō Museum’s Niven Room from 1 October in the exhibition 'Impressions', for everyone to enjoy.”

“Plateau Printmakers enjoy sharing their skills and introducing people to the art of print-making and during the exhibition will be putting on 10 workshops and artist talks for the wider community for both children and adults. The group also held workshops to encourage people to try print-making at the Taupō Winter Festival and Taupō Arts Trail.”
